Use for Prayer, Meditation and Contemplation These traditional quarter Malas have 27 beads that are 8mm in diameter. The guru bead is a Bod-hi seed that is about 10 mm in diameter. Strung on a silk cord for durability, these Malas are actually one quarter of the standard 108 bead Mala. The malas will fit a wrist 7 inches around but are normally held in the hand, kept in a pouch or kept in a pocket. The silk cord is not intended to stretch. You can select a gold or yellow tassel with 108 strands...or no tassel at all! Included is an embroidered silk pouch imported from the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. We purchase these pouches to help support the women and children in the valley. |
