Four Season & Silver Moon Cycle
This unique pagan prayer bead is made of 7 dyed blue agate beads, 7 heated quartz ice flake beads, 7 natural African jade beads and 7 dyed/heated carnelian beads (all approximately 8 mm in diameter) with a sterling silver "moon" bead on silver-plated wire, silver-plated chain, silver-plated round prayer box. Open the prayer box and place a tiny, folded prayer or focus thought inside. The prayer box can also hold a very small talisman. Each group of 7 beads represents a different season/time of year and the four cardinal directions (east, west, north and south). Once considered strictly the property of the nobility, carnelian boosts energy and calms anger. Use to find inner strength and to increase appetite. Red signifies energy and vitality. It stands for blood and thus menstruation, hunting, sacrifice and other ways of shedding blood. Red also represents the element fire and the cardinal direction South. Its astrological planet is Mars. Jade can be used in magical combat to reflect hostile spells back on the sender, to bless gardens, and to work weather magic. Quartz was called 'krystallos" by the Greeks because they thought that it was ice that was eternally frozen. Quartz represents the Moon, mirrors and amplifies any energy it encounters.
