How a customer gave us a great variation.

Michelle B. from Alexandria, VA suggested we try something different with our Buddhist wrist malas. The tassel on the mala can sometimes be ticklish if not downright bothersome. So we tried putting a knot and we tried putting nothing at all. Well, having nothing at all won out and we even reinforced the material used to string the beads. Thanks Michelle!!

This traditional quarter Mala has 27 hemalyke beads that are 8mm in diameter. The guru bead is a Bod-hi seed that is approximately10 mm in diameter.

Strung on a silk cord for durability, this Mala is actually one quarter of the standard 108 bead Mala. This mala will fit a wrist 7 inches around but is normally held in the hand, kept in a pouch or kept in a pocket. The silk cord is not intended to stretch.

Hemalyke simulates the metallic luster of hard to find hematite. This man made bead will not shatter like hematite. Hemalyke can be magnetically charged to produce a light magnetic energy that is said to increase blood flow and promote pain relief. Be aware that charging the beads will make them "clump" together. DO NOT charge if you have a pacemaker and keep away from microwave ovens. Use as a base Chakra stone.

Included is an embroidered silk pouch imported from the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. We purchase these pouches to help support the women and children in the valley.

Comes with a traditional red or gold cotton tassel with 108 individual strands, or you may choose to have no tassel. This quarter Mala is hand-made in the USA.
